I established VBA to supply my clients with a responsive, personalised and competitive design service to enable them to efficiently fulfill their building construction and repurposing ambitions.

I have been active in architecture roles in the construction and design industry in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom for a number of years after graduating with my Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Tasmania and my Masters of Architecture (professional) from Victoria University, Wellington.

I am proudly Southland born and bred with enduring family and professional ties across the southern region. While I have enjoyed living in a number of foreign locations, and have travelled extensively, New Zealand’s South Island is “home”, the place where my local knowledge and passion for culture, landscape and people delivers superior results for my clients.

My established practice utilises digital technology (BIM) providing accurate concept visualisations and drawings for clients early in the project scoping phase. Following this the same technology enables the efficient production of architectural drawings and generating regulatory compliance and construction documentation.

I strive to provide my clients with functional buildings that include the style and features specific to them. Designing in sympathy with the environment and climatic conditions of the site is important as is the choice of materials, finishes and colour. Providing an uncomplicated and refined building that engenders pride and stands the test of time for my client is the outcome that I work hard to create.
