hutts on THE hill House

Located on a gentle hill facing north, Huts on a Hill compromises of three huts twisted at different angles with lower links connecting the huts. These lower links create additional spaces that function as an entry gallery and a multi-purpose study/ music room.

The external material where restricted to Sandstone Grey Corrugated Iron taking precedents from the backcountry DOC huts. The architectural form sits at ease on top of the hill overlooking the surrounding panoramic views of rolling hills.

One of the main features within the home are the corner windows which frame the views of the horse paddocks. The varying volumes of space expand and contract as you move through the home. Working along side the clients with their forever home was a joy to be involved with.
